H56 is a copper-zinc alloy containing around 55–58% copper. Due to its high zinc content, it provides high strength and good workability but has relatively poo corrosion resistance, requiring surface protection.
1. High strength and hardness (tensile strength ≥400MPa) 2. Excellent plasticity (suitable for complex cold molding) 3. Low cost (high zinc content provides economic benefits) 4. Atmospheric corrosion resistance (prone to dezincification; it is not suitable for acidic environments)
