Alternative Designations: PP | Polypropylene-Plastic
PP is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic with the low density (0.9 g/cm³), excellent resistance to acids and alkalis, and low cost. However, it exhibits significant brittleness at low temperatures, which can be improved through copolymer modification.
1. Chemical corrosion resistance (resistant to acids, alkalis and organic solvents)
2. Lightweight & rigid (commonly used in automotive lightweighting)
3. Good insulation properties (high-frequency electrical insulation material)
4. Poor UV/low-temperature resistance (additive modifications required)
